Student Council

Developing students as leaders is at the heart of what we believe in. At MIS, our Student Council Members, are elected at the beginning of each school year. As the governing student body, these leaders are the ears of the students for bringing ideas forward to make MIS even better, plan events, and fundraise to support charities.

Our Student Council meets weekly and has enjoyed great success in bringing a variety of spirit days to the school such as Crazy Hair Day, Pajama Day, and Non-Uniform Day. On these special days, students pay a small amount to participate which is donated to a charity of the Student Council’s choice. Previously, the Student Council has supported the victims of the Tohoku and Kumamoto disasters as well as their annual drive in support of the Red Feather Campaign supporting people in need all over Japan.

Our Student Council exemplifies local and global citizenship!
