School Transfer

As students approach their final years of Grades 5 and 6 at MIS, we understand that parents and student have questions about their choices and how best to prepare their students for entry into either International Middle Schools or Japanese Junior High Schools. MIS is fortunate to have the expertise and support of a School Liaison Officer who provides advice and guidance to parents and students, especially those wishing to enter the Japanese Junior High School system. In addition, both the Head of School and Deputy Head give guidance to those looking at International Schools as an option.

Information Sessions and individual school transfer guidance meetings are held for every MIS parent in these grades. The school is also happy to prepare and provide the documentation needed for application to a student’s school(s) of choice.

Grade 6 students also have the opportunity to have two rounds of mock interviews with the Head and Deputy Head to polish their presentation skills and give them confidence that they will do their best when applying to the prestigious schools our graduates attend.

We hope that you will have confidence in MIS’s preparation of our students to ensure a successful future!
