After School Care

MIS provides After School Care Service.

1. Service Hours / Fees

  • For K1 children, After School Care service (ASC) is available from 1:30pm-6:30pm on school days. For other children, this service is available from 3:30pm. 
  • K1 children who are waiting for school buses will not be charged for this service. 
  • The fee is 350 yen per session or part of. One session is 30 minutes. The school will calculate how many sessions your child has used, and the payment will be required from the month following use of ASC. (For example, if your child used the ASC from 1:30pm to 2:40 pm, we would calculate that your child joined 3 sessions, and we would therefore charge parents 1,050 yen.)
  • Please note that once the fee is paid, it is strictly non-refundable.

2. Reservations

  • You can reserve ASC from the ‘MIS Online Reservation Service.’
  • A letter with a QR code, ID, and password to log in to the online reservation service is enclosed in the Entrance Pack.
  • This service is available from one month prior to enrollment.

　　Example:
　　Enrollment in April 2026 → Reservation will be available from March 2026
　　Enrollment in August 2026 → Reservation will be available from July 2026

  • Reservations must be made 3 days before the desired date, excluding weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.
  • If you have another child who is already enrolled at Makuhari International School, please use the same MIS Online Reservation Service ID and password to make ASC reservations for your newly enrolled child. Their information will already be in the system one month before their enrollment.

3. Important Notes

  • The ASC cannot be used if a child is absent or leaving early from school during the day.
  • For safety reasons, it is very important to share information between parents and school. Should you be late in picking up your child, need to cancel on the day, or if someone other than a parent will be picking up your child, please be sure to phone the MIS office. 
  • If you are a K1 parent planning to pick up your child from ASC between 3:00pm and 3:40pm, you will not be able to use the school parking lot during that time, as it is reserved for regular dismissal traffic.
  • Children who use the ASC after 4:30pm should bring their own snacks.
