Dear MIS Community,

I am very happy to announce that as a result of all of our combined efforts, we raised a combined total of 143,628yen to support Southeast Asia flood relief. Through our Student Council-sponsored Non-Uniform Spirit Day & independent donations we raised 91,594yen and with the additional help of the MIS PTA at the Winter Performances, we were able to raise an additional 52,034yen.

These funds have already been transferred to the trusted and reliable international relief organization, Global Giving (https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/southeast-asia-flood-relief-fund/ ) which will ensure that the funds are used to provide food, clean water, and medicine to survivors, shelter and temporary housing to people who lost their homes, psycho–social and mental health support to survivors, and support economic relief effort as well as long-term recovery efforts.

The entire MIS Community should be proud of putting into action our commitment to making our world a better place through acts of global citizenship!
