Recent Developments2008/10/16

During October we have been busy testing, screening and interviewing many of the children who have already applied for enrolment at Makuhari International School. As we have said, it is important that their level of English is at an appropriate stage. At the end of this process we will either accept those children, defer entry and arrange a further screening at a future date (along with advice on results from the screening process), or decline entry to the school. Due to the large numbers of applications who have applied to the school during September, this process is taking some time.

Until the end of October when we will have finished current screening (and making decisions on the status of the current lists of children who have applied), we cannot make final concrete decisions on the following:

·           Bus routes (and therefore the prices we will be charging)

·           The make-up of each individual class.

However, it is the school's intention to send out detailed information to parents at the end of November which will include the above information as well as:

·         A revised and more detailed Parent handbook.

·         Various essential School Policies.

·         Information on any teachers hired by the school.

·         School Uniform guidelines.

·          Information about the curriculum your child will be studying in detail.

·         Dates for information sessions for prospective children and their parents.

Please be patient in the meantime.

Paul Rogers - Head of School.
